Big River, Two Fish!

Our 'small group' was 50 per cent 'me' at last night's meeting!

We had a nice chat and sat a little Zazen together anyway, which was good.

I'm not sure how it will work out in the long run but, for the time being, I'm planning to continue looking at Fukanzazengi here, there and wherever.

I'll post another bit about it in the next day or two (busy, busy, busy...)

  1. Hey Harry,

I'm so glad to hear your sitting was truly a success! Well done!

I don't know how it is over there but here in Finland people have been very interested of our group because they feel (or that's what they have told me) that our group is fascinating because we don't have so much rituals, no reciting, no "religious" outlook and so on; just the basic Soto manners and formalities like sanpai and bowings before sitting but no reciting at all. It's all about talk and zazen and then tea together. I think it's good that people have opportunities to go to different kind of groups, not just "religious" or "ritualistic". A lot of different kind of groups, one big Buddha's family. :)

    Take care!
